Analysis of the match between Villarreal and Juventus
Juventus have shown remarkable resilience lately. In their Champions League opener, they looked destined for defeat as Dortmund led 4-2 until the 90+4 minute. Yet, the Bianconeri staged a dramatic comeback, salvaging a 4-4 draw thanks to late goals from Vlahovic and Kelly. Most recently, against a strong Atalanta side, Juventus once again came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw, extending their unbeaten run to 10 matches in all competitions (6 wins, 4 draws).
However, their upcoming trip to Villarreal could be a real test. The Yellow Submarine are in excellent form with three consecutive victories, currently sitting just behind Barcelona and Real Madrid in La Liga. At home, Villarreal have lost only once in their last nine European fixtures and are riding a streak of four straight home wins.
Notably, Villarreal remain undefeated in their three previous encounters with Juventus, winning twice by a three-goal margin. Given the current circumstances, the Spanish side look well poised to bring an end to Juventus’s unbeaten streak.
